Disney: D23 Expo postponed to 2022

Disney has announced that the next D23 Expo will be postponed from 2021 to September 2022.

Through Twitter, the company shared the news, confirming that the event will take place September 9-11, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Disney also left a promise that the D23 Expo 2022 will be “a celebration like no other”, with fans having “the first look at the incredible plans” of the Walt Disney Company’s centennial.

Since 2009, the biannual D23 Expo has invited fans from all over the world to celebrate Disney’s magic and adventure, in a 3-day convention full of experiences, exclusive trailers for films to debut, celebrities’ presence and news on the way to parks and resorts Disney and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Last year’s D23 Expo featured a series of films, such as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Black Panther 2, Eternals, Black Widow, Jungle Cruise, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Mulan, Cruella, Soul, Onward, Frozen 2 and Raya and the Last Dragon, a new animation.

D23 Expo 2022 will take place shortly after the Star Wars Celebration, another Disney convention whose edition this year has been canceled due to the Coronavirus. The Star Wars Celebration will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on August 18, 2022.
