The Ghostbusters ECTO-1, the most detailed car ever created with LEGO pieces, will be available in partner stores of the Danish company and on LEGO.com, starting on November 15th.
It is a classic 1959 Cadillac-Meteor car, which gives a more retro touch to the LEGO car collection. The release arrives in preparation for the film Ghostbusters: Afterlife in 2021 and promises to delight fans of the film, as well as followers of LEGO. With this new car, converted to an ambulance, any ghostbusters have everything they need to chase and capture enemies from beyond. We can count on:
- Mobile ghost detector (activated by wheels);
- Extendable sniper seat at the rear;
- Functional steering wheel;
- Complete roof ghost detection kit.
The creative process for the ECTO-1 was exciting “I love creating LEGO vehicles and having already designed James Bond’s LEGO Aston Martin DB5, I loved working on the ECTO-1. It is the largest and most detailed version of this car we have ever created and is full of authentic details and easter eggs, which make me very excited about people’s reaction when they build the set, “confessed Michael Psiaki, the creator of the piece.
The Ghostbusters ECTO-1 is so detailed that it has printed versions of the Ghostbusters logo on the doors, has 2,352 pieces and measures 22.5cm in height, 47cm in length and 16.5cm in width. It has a brand new curved windshield and a 5-module steering wheel.
If you are looking for an iconic LEGO vehicle on a cinema theme, this is it. You can purchase it for the amount of € 199.99.
