NOS Cinemas announce reopening, with ticket discount

stop

After a long period of closure, a consequence of the global quarantine imposed by the pandemic of COVID-19 and the consequent stop of most Hollywood productions, the Cinemas NOS rooms announced the reopening for this week, Thursday, July 2nd.

The decision is in line with the gradual return to the possible normality with which Portugal has committed itself, obviously complying with a new set of security rules specifically designed for the Cinema business.

The norms include the use of alternating and mismatched places in “zig-zag” to guarantee the social distance of people, more spaced sessions to ensure the disinfection of rooms between exhibitions, the mandatory use of masks by customers and employees of Cinemas NOS and the determination of specific places for entry and exit, with the availability of disinfectant at different points of the route.

With great productions on the way again, NOS officials hope to be able to welcome the voracious cinema lovers in Portugal, having already a catalog of news planned, and to which are added special re-events, such as some films by Christopher Nolan, in preparation for Tenet’s debut.

It is advisable to buy tickets online to limit contact as much as possible, but the traditional ticket office and bar areas will comply with all security measures, with the installation, for example, of acrylic panels between customer and employee.

Discounts to encourage return of the cinema

With a poster that starts shy but promises to accelerate quickly with the return of major productions, an effort will be made to promote the return of people to the rooms. Until July 22, ticket prices will be reduced, costing € 5 for a normal session and € 7 for special exhibitions, such as IMAX, XVision or 4DX.

The NOS rooms reopen on July 2 with the premieres of The Truth, Super-Secret Agent, Keep Me Company, Freaks, Martin Eden, O Paraíso, Probably and O Rececionista. For more news, check the official website.
