If you aren’t tired of homecooked meals yet due to the lockdown, then here’s the perfect way to introduce some new recipes into your pallet completely out of the left-field if you’re feeling adventurous.
We’re talking about recipes that sustained our ancestors long before fast food or microwaves were around.
Take it from Bill Sutherland, a professor of conservation biology at the University of Cambridge. Bill gathered 3,770-year-old recipes from an ancient Mesopotamian tablet which are some of the oldest recipes to ever exist. To share the recipes, Bill created an ever-popular tweet thread to showcase them all.
In each tweet, Bill describes the recipe and any substitutes he made and shares a picture of the end result. Bill’s stab at recreating ancient dished proved to be popular among his followers.
Below is his thread complete with the recipes.
Make sure you give this a share on Facebook before you go! Drop us a comment below and let us know what you think.
