Voted by LEGO fans from around the world, the new LEGO Ideas set is chosen, it is 123 Sesame Street, created by enthusiast Ivan Guerrero. The set takes us back to the iconic New York street with an incredible experience, which promises to delight all who grew up with the famous series broadcast on RTP between 1989 and 1996, Sesame Street.
“We were instantly attracted to the idea of Ivan, because we had never made a product from Rua Sésamo before. It was clear from the proposal that Ivan was a passionate fan of Sesame Street and managed to bring it to life with a wide range of characters and color. For the first time in the history of LEGO Ideas, we gave a fan the opportunity to create a new minifigure for a set, bringing something new and incredible to fans, “said Federico Begher, Vice President of Marketing at the LEGO Group.
“Created with all the charming elements of 123 Sesame Street, the new set is full of details from the famous New York neighborhood. From Egas and Becas’ apartment, where Egas asked Becas to take a banana out of his ear to hear better, to the nest of the Yellow Poupes, where the adults finally met Mr. Snuffleupagus in person – there are several details that promise to amaze the builders, while remembering some of their favorite moments in the series. “
Set no. 123 on Sesame Street was born from the LEGO Ideas program, which gives the possibility for brand enthusiasts to submit ideas to the Danish company, with the aim of seeing their creations come to life as an official set, and then entitled to a percentage of the profits from sales. Other LEGO Ideas sets include Central Perk and the Grand Piano, which can be seen in the images below.
